A new temporary public toilet on George Street, Moe has been opened to the public.

Moe master plan adopted

Latrobe City Council has adopted the Moe Rail Precinct Masterplan with several changes to reflect the significant contribution made by the community during the consultation period.

Latrobe City mayor Cr Kellie O’Callaghan said that more than 60 submissions were received by council. Read more

Community grants announced

Latrobe City Council has awarded more than $400,000 in community grants for 2009/10, with 164 community groups or organisations receiving the tick of approval for their applications.

No-charge weekend for hard waste

Latrobe City Council’s transfer stations in Moe, Morwell, Traralgon and Yinnar will be open with extended hours on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 – 6 to enable residents to dispose of their hard waste at no charge.

The no charge hard waste drop off weekend will allow residents to dispose of up to 2 cubic metres of hard waste per vehicle. Read more

Public exhibition will be held to allow members of the Latrobe Valley community the chance to consider Amendment C24 to the Latrobe Valley Planning Scheme.

Temporary toilet solution

Latrobe City Council has adopted a recommendation for a temporary public toilet to be located in the Moe CBD until a permanent facility is constructed as part of the Moe Activity Centre Plan.

Latrobe City mayor, Councillor Lisa Price, said that providing the temporary toilet would alleviate the perception that there are not currently enough toilets servicing the area. Read more
